Sussex Gate Services were approached by a property owner in Crowborough to supply and install a reliable and practical vehicle gate solution at the entrance to their farm. The client required a traditional timber gate in keeping with the rural surroundings, along with modern automation for convenience and security.

In addition to the gate, we were instructed to remove and replace a substantial run of perimeter fencing to restore the property’s boundary and maintain visual continuity throughout the entrance.

Our Solution

We supplied and fitted a Softwood Yeoman’s gate in Crowborough, chosen for its strong, rural appearance and suitability for agricultural settings. The gate was automated using Roger Technology above-ground equipment, which offers dependable, quiet operation and is well-suited for timber installations. The automation setup ensures ease of use for vehicles entering and exiting the site, while maintaining security and control.

To complete the project, we replaced 20 bays of chestnut Sussex-style fencing, which is well-known for its strength and attractive, traditional look. This fencing was selected to match the style of the existing boundaries while providing a robust enclosure for the property.
