Electric Aluminium Gates in East Sussex

The Challenge

The homeowner wanted to install electric aluminium gates in East Sussex while retaining the existing brick piers at the entrance. A key requirement was a greater gate height for improved security, without altering the brickwork. The client also needed advanced remote access control and a practical solution for handling frequent parcel deliveries without drivers needing to access the property.

Our Approach

We recommended electric aluminium swing gates in a swan top profile – a style that combines a traditional shape with the strength and low-maintenance properties of aluminium. To achieve the required gate height without modifying the existing piers, aluminium gate posts were installed discreetly behind the brickwork. This preserved the original entrance character while giving full flexibility on gate sizing and design.

For automation, we specified Roger Technology gate operators, providing smooth and reliable daily performance. For access control, we installed the AES OPYN smart video intercom, allowing the homeowner to see visitors, speak with them, and open the gates remotely via a smartphone app. The system also integrates with Alexa, enabling voice-controlled gate operation when at home.

To reduce unnecessary gate openings and limit access to the property, we supplied and fitted a large black parcel box at the entrance – a practical addition for any household receiving regular deliveries.
