Our client in Piltdown, East Sussex, needed a secure and aesthetically pleasing access solution for their property. They required both vehicle and pedestrian access, with an emphasis on durability and long-term reliability. Additionally, they were looking for an automated system that could seamlessly integrate modern technology while maintaining the natural charm of their rural surroundings. Security was also a key concern, requiring a solution that would offer both convenience and peace of mind.

Our Approach

After an initial site assessment and consultation with the client, we recommended the installation of Iroko hardwood 5-bar gates.

Iroko hardwood is known for its strength, resistance to weathering, and beautiful finish, making it the ideal choice for this project. To ensure the gates were securely mounted and able to withstand daily use, we proposed hanging them on robust oak posts.

For automation, we opted for Roger Technology above-ground operators, renowned for their reliability and smooth operation. To meet the client’s security and communication needs, we recommended and installed an AES Smart WiFi video intercom system with an integrated keypad. This solution would provide secure, remote access control with the convenience of smartphone connectivity.

The Installation

The installation process was carried out with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each component was expertly fitted and tested.

The Iroko 5-bar Hardwood gates were carefully measured, crafted, and installed onto sturdy oak posts, providing a perfect fit and long-lasting stability. To guarantee smooth and efficient gate movement, the Roger Technology above-ground operators were installed and thoroughly tested.

Additionally, the AES Smart WiFi video intercom system was configured to allow the client to monitor and control gate access from their mobile device, with the keypad offering an extra layer of secure entry for regular visitors. Throughout the installation, our team worked efficiently to minimise disruption to the client’s daily routine while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
