Iroko Hardwood Driveway Gates in Langton Green

The Challenge

This property in Langton Green required a more practical entrance and exit solution to suit both modern living and frequent visitors. The existing layout had limitations, particularly in terms of vehicle flow and pedestrian access. The homeowners were also keen to improve the kerb appeal of the front boundary, while avoiding the need for a full intercom system. With a vision for something both traditional and functional, they reached out to Sussex Gate Services.

Our Approach

After an initial site visit, we proposed creating a clear in-and-out entrance system to improve traffic flow. We suggested Iroko hardwood gates for their strength and appearance, and added a separate pedestrian gate to improve day-to-day access. To integrate the new pedestrian gate, we carefully removed a small section of the existing wall while ensuring the boundary remained secure and cohesive in style. Each gate was treated with a clear UV-protective oil to preserve the timber’s natural beauty and longevity.
